Positive Vibes

These days we have so much on our minds. That when we have a blank mind, we become paralyzed. There has never been a day when we aren’t in middle of some sort of chaos. It has become a point in all our lives, especially college students, where we only seem to know how to survive if there are negative vibes.

When we don’t have any chaos, we create chaos in our lives. It becomes an addictive habit that is impossible to break because we don’t know life without chaos or drama. I know so many people who have the most glum faces and look like they have a grey cloud over their heads all the time. Like smile a little, try to make life easier and lighter for yourself. You never know that your smile can help someone else smile. After all, smiles are contagious.

I even know people who will literally try to become so depressed or overly stressed about things that shouldn’t be stressed over. (However, if you are depressed or anxious, please find help and get treated. It will be worth it. I promise you. I have been in that boat for 6 years.) It is rare to see happy faces walking around or hearing a cackle echoing in the halls. 

I, personally, have been through a lot in the last 6 years. It has changed me to the point where I don’t get upset often or angry often but when I do, it’s bad. I try my very best not to get annoyed or irritated with things unless you are very close to me then I will. So most of the time, you will see me laughing and letting go of the silly things that would annoy me if you said them to me years ago.

I live off positive vibes. I have this positive energy and positive aura around me which I try to create for myself. I’m not saying I am happy all the time, I have my bad and sad days but I try very hard not to. Don’t mistake me being quiet as negative vibes cause it’s probably because I am tired or not feeling like socializing. I will try to find happiness and reasons to smile in the tiniest of things rather than sulk of things I can’t control.

I learnt that the hard way. I can’t control everything and there is no point in stressing about something that you can’t control. Also every problem has a solution. You may not see it right now but it’s there. Honestly, there is never going to be a day where you will not be stressed about something, as it is human nature, however you can control how much stress to take on about the particular subject.

So create those positive vibes for yourself and others around you. Try to find happiness and positive vibes in the things you like to do or see or eat or whatever it is. Listen to music and dance, laugh out loud, hang out with people who make you smile, eat amazing food, engage in your hobbies. Do whatever it takes for you to remember that the storm will end but you have the paddle, so row row your boat to get over the waves.
