Well this semester is almost over and it went by supersonic fast like holy shit! I was literally home like 2 weeks ago counting down my days to Fall Semester….And here we are almost 2 weeks left to Winter Break. I was writing a cleansing post for a new semester and now it’s time to reflect on it.
First off, we are on the last push so don’t give up! Christmas is coming soon! We got this!
Second off, 2016 ended pretty quickly for me, I don’t know about you guys…..and I learnt a lot about myself this year.
- Depression doesn’t leave you ever and there will be bad days where you will want to give up but it’s important you use your coping mechanisms and get out of it!
- Focus on yourself and make yourself so busy that you can’t think about anything else, it helps.
- Make sure to give yourself time and space from yourself otherwise you will want to destroy yourself
- People leave and come, feel the joy and pain but don’t let it damage you. It’s hard but push through it.
- Failure is a learning opportunity not the end of the world.
- Sometimes, you do everything you can and you still won’t get the job and that’s okay. It might be a hidden blessing.
- Work hard but make sure to relax too. Have that balance otherwise you will crash.
- It’s okay to be clueless in class, just go to office hours before finals week.
- My planner with my color coding has been the best thing that has ever happened to me
- Tutoring math tutees has been morally pleasing to my soul
- I have gotten better with multitasking again thanks to my planner
- I need to improve on not getting annoyed easily
- I have been able to switch off my emotions and work through my academics successfully
- I still am incapable of leaving people and losing people without getting overly angry or crying about it
- Being single since February has been interesting
- I hate wearing suits and they are uncomfortable
- I have gotten more confident with my communications skills
- Business classes aren’t fun in my opinion and I am great at bullshitting through it
- A lot of changes happen but be sure to look at it positively
- Know your worth. Don’t let anyone drag you around like a rag doll.
Indian Chameleon’s Obiter Dictum for the Day
Create a list of things that you have learnt about yourself and reflect on it. It will be rewarding as well as a growing opportunity!
