India

India, she has welcomed you into her arms openly.

She has allowed you in, to show you everything;
The good, the bad, and the ugly.
She has been vulnerable from the moment you met her.
She opened the doors wide open and showed you her body and soul.

Starting from the top, she showed you her mind, her chaos in her mind and how she used jugaad.
When you sat in those rickshaws in Delhi, it was her busy mind taking you for a ride.
Just like that ride, her thoughts run around like crazy.

Then she showed you her heart and love in Lucknow where you saw her joy and happiness in the village.
She invited you and grabbed your arms and made you dance!

When she held your hand it was so you could feel her pain and used those same hands to wipe those tears in Varanasi.
She wanted to share the pain so she wouldn’t suffer alone and told you that even she knows pain.
She bared her soul to you and showed you spirituality so that you could find nirvana too.

The Taj Mahal was her prized possession that she was so giddy to show that she made sure you felt like royalty around all that marble.
She warmly welcomed you, quite literally that even you felt the heat.

Her eyes were given to you so that you could see the colors in Jaipur.
You suddenly had playful eyes where colors were dancing around if someone looked into them.

In Tilonia, you tasted and consumed all that delicious food, which her stomach enjoys and she was kind enough to share with you.
Then she showed you her guts where she was breaking social norms in Barefoot College boldy.

She showed you her legs in Mumbai. She let you borrow them to run around from Juhu to South Mumbai.
Her strong calves gave you the strength to create your magical projects and in return you made her legs look even better.

On the tip of her feet, she showed you the heaven she stands on with her beaches and lively palm trees.
Her long toes told you that there is still more to be discovered and trekked through with her.

India will always welcome you when you come back. This I can tell you wholeheartedly.
Each time with new lessons to be learned.
