Dear Ritika,
Given the circumstances, it has been a couple of hard weeks where you have been on a rollercoaster ride that doesn’t seem to end. You don’t know when the ride will be over so you might as well buckle up and enjoy the ride. It is hard to put a positive spin on everything in life but don’t give up. I am writing this vulnerable letter to you so you can inspire yourself and others to fall in love again with ourselves.
Firstly, I want to thank you for pushing through everything that you have been through. You are known to so many as a strong woman and you have fought so many battles. And even after so many battles, I need you to believe that you still have the strength to fight many more.
I know I don’t say this often to you but you are an amazing woman who strives to be a better version than you were yesterday. You embrace change and growth so naturally and organically which is a very difficult thing to do because it’s so easy to find comfort in routine.
There will be times when you will doubt your abilities and yourself but when you do, I want you to take a step back and look at this letter and remind yourself who you truly are and what you are composed of. You are a smart, beautiful, caring and strong woman. There are more words that I could label you with but these are your core labels.
I know that I fight with you a lot and argue with you but understand that at the end of the day, I will always be there for you, ready to take on another day with you. I trust you to show you my true self and I trust you to understand me and be patient when times get rough.
You care so much about those you love and care for and forget to spoil yourself. You need to treat yourself too and not be so tough on yourself. You deserve it. You need to handle yourself with compassion and love. You need to put yourself first sometimes and enjoy yourself in this world. Share that joy with yourself too, you deserve happiness just as much as you think your loved ones do.
You are strong which is why you were given this life and imagining a day without you or your existence in my life seems unimaginable. Keep going and keep fighting!
Yours Truly,
Ritika Kumbharkar
